Pakistani businessmen ready for active co-op and implementation of mutually beneficial projects

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev met with businessmen from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Bakyt Torobaev said that the visit of representatives of Pakistani business, interested in strengthening trade and investment cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, inspires great hopes for the mutual development of the economies of the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expansion and further cooperation in the pharmaceutical, light industry, energy, education, technology and investment attraction.

At the end of 2022, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 11 million 961 thousand US dollars. In order to further increase mutual trade, efforts will be made to increase and expand the range of products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan in the trading house located in the city of Lahore (Islamic Republic of Pakistan).

In turn, representatives of the Pakistani delegation stated that they consider Kyrgyzstan as a reliable business partner and are ready for active cooperation and implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
