The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft by night along Handy Road.
On 22 August 2018 at about 2.05 pm, the Police received a report that a shop located along Handy Road had been broken into. Cash amounting to S$1,650 were discovered to be stolen.
Through follow up investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 5 September 2018.
The suspect will be charged in court on 7 September 2018 with housebreaking and theft by night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 14 years with caning.
