KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- BERNAMA Radio and China Radio International (CRI) yesterday signed a broadcasting cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the second season of Ni Hao and Selendang Sutera programmes.

The ceremony was held at CRI headquarters in Beijing, China.

CRI Southeast Asian Broadcasting Centre vice director-general Zhang Wen Wen said the cooperation for the second year would involve improving the existing content apart from creating new segments for the two programmes.

Among them are segments on Chinese classical proverbs, 'Viral In Two Countries' and 'Our Dialect'.

According to him, the programmes would be assisted by two CRI personnel stationed at BERNAMA Radio for one year.

The first season of Ni Hao and Selendang Sutera was from Dec 15 2016 to Dec 24 2017 while the second season will start from January 2018.

A BERNAMA Radio delegation headed by Business Development manager, Raziyaza Mohammed with assistant manager Khairil Bashar and presenter Nurul Shuhadah Armawan as well as programme producer, Nurul Firdaus were in Beijing to attend the MoU signing ceremony.
