Today, Huawei launched its Seeds for the Future Program in Vientiane by providing great opportunity to ten Lao students who are excellent performance of ICT in their university and young ICT talents in Laos.
Huawei Seeds for the Future is not only the longest-running Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative worldwide, but it is also a symbol of our dedication to empowering the next generation of ICT professionals. By offering unparalleled opportunities, mentorship, and exposure, we aim to cultivate talents, deepen knowledge, and equip with the skills required to excel in the digital era. Every year, Huawei invites 1,500 students, 10 students per country, to study at our HQ. for This year we have selected 10 students to participate in the online program. After the program ends, 2 students will be selected to go on a tour to China, Mr Edward CEO of Huawei Laos has said.
In this program, we will discuss future ICT technologies trends and show all the participants how you can seize new opportunities. This 1-week program might be not enough for you to become a real ICT expert. It can help to open a window for you to understand what’s happening in this prominent industry, which could be very significant for your career planning, he added.
As a global ICT leader, Huawei is committed to promoting ICT industry development in the countries it operates, and aims to drive long-term economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Huawei believes that access to education is vital to create opportunities that support fair and sustainable development in Laos. Therefore, our CSR initiatives largely focus on education and knowledge transfer. Huawei Lao built the first 2G base station in Laos, we have trained more than 3000 ICT Talents.
This program can help local talents to study the latest ICT knowledge, and in the future more and more ICT talents joint together to support Lao to be a digitally nation.
