The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), as part of its continuing implementation of the Knowledge Resource Network (KRN), will formally launch its 41st Knowledge Resource Collection (KRC) in Cauayan City Public Library on 2 October 2017.
The KRN, an initiative at information and knowledge sharing, aims to enhance the public's understanding of economic and financial concepts and issues, thus empowering them to contribute more meaningfully to economic development and benefit better from the opportunities that such development would bring. In partnership with libraries of the local government units, national agencies and academic institutions all over the country, BSP has been setting up KRCs which house updated BSP publications such as books, reports, guides, manuals, primers and brochures, and provide access to online publications and research assistance services to the public. These information resources and services will be made available to the local communities for free.
The KRN launching in Cauayan City will be attended by Monetary Board Member Juan De ZuAiga, BSP Deputy Governor Diwa C. Guinigundo, and Honorable City Mayor Bernard Faustino M. Dy, who will lead the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
