In celebration of its 24th anniversary, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will host the 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP Stakeholders in Region III who have continuously supported its statistical initiatives, information requirements, and advocacy programs. The event will be held on Friday, 28 July 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Harvest Hotel, Pio Del Pilar St., Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. This years' event focuses on the theme Transforming Shared Visions into Dynamic Partnership, which is descriptive of the BSP's continuous collaboration with its stakeholders in gearing the economy towards an inclusive and resilient growth. Monetary Board Member Felipe M. Medalla will lead this year's event.
The BSP will grant awards to twelve outstanding partners: for the Information Support category�two for the Business Expectations Survey (BES), and one for Sources of Information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments; and for the Advocacy Support category�one for Asset Disposal, six for the Currency Programs of the BSP and two for implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns.
The Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be conferred on the BES respondents selected from among the country's top corporations in Region III that have participated regularly in the survey by providing timely, complete, accurate and consistent responses. The Outstanding Partner for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agency or institution that provided the BSP with information support for an effective environment scan of the region. The Asset Disposal Partner of the Year will be awarded to third-party brokerage individuals or firms that have been instrumental in the expeditious disposal of BSP-acquired assets, demonstrated high regard for professionalism and adherence to BSP guidelines and standards. The Outstanding Regional Partner for Currency Programs will be given to agencies or institutions that supported the BSP's currency programs and advocacies in Region III, such as the Clean Note Policy, Coin Recirculation and Demonetization of the New Design Series. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns will be conferred to agencies or institutions that has supported the BSP's public information campaigns conducted in Region III.
This awards ceremony is the third of the BSP's regional stakeholders' events which will be held from July to September 2017 in 12 areas outside the National Capital Region to recognize stakeholders in various award categories. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier acknowledged during the awards ceremony held last 11 July 2017 at the BSP Main Complex, Manila.
This event is expected to further strengthen the alliance between the BSP and its stakeholders, resulting in a more efficient and effective means of information gathering and conduct of advocacy campaigns to achieve the BSP's ultimate goal of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system as well as ensuring an efficient payments and settlements system in the country.
