The Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Region II held at Japi Hotel, Maharlika Highway, Cauayan City, Isabela on Tuesday, 25 July 2017 was led by Monetary Board Member Juan D. De ZuAiga, Jr.
ACT (Machineries & Metal Craft) Corp. was chosen as the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms while Grupo Allied Agricultural Product Corp. was recognized as the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms for the Business Expectations Survey in Region II. The Outstanding Partner for the Report on Regional Economic Developments was given to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)-Region II. The Outstanding Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Local Government Unit (LGU) Partner was granted to the City Government of Santiago. The Kapit-Bisig Award (Provincial Level) was bestowed to the Provincial Government of Isabela while the Kapit-Bisig Award (Municipal Level) was granted to the Municipal Government of Aurora. The Outstanding Regional Partners for Currency Programs of the BSP were awarded to the following: BDO Unibank, Inc.-Cash Hub for Clean Note Policy; University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao for Coin Recirculation; and to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cagayan for the Demonetization of the new Design Series. Lastly, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns award was given to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Each awardee received the Dynamic Balance, Philippine Eagle trophy crafted by respected visual artist and multi-awarded sculptor, Mr. Ferdinand Cacnio.
This event attests to the successful alliance that has helped the BSP maintain price and financial stability and ensure an efficient payments and settlements system. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony at the BSP Main Complex, Manila on 11 July 2017. This year's event marks the fourth stakeholders' awards in Region II and is second in a series of 12 regional events for this year.
