CYPRUS - The Philippine Embassy in Athens conducted a consular outreach and overseas voting registration for the Filipino Community at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Nicosia, Cyprus on February 03 and 04.

Second Secretary and Consul Sheila Marie C. Tario led the consular team in processing 322 applications for renewal of passports; two applications for lost passport, five notarials; one re-acquisition of Filipino citizenship; 242 applications for overseas voting registration/certification; 17 applications for transfer of voting records; 50 applications for reactivation of overseas voting records; 49 applications for change of address of overseas voters; seven application for correction of wrong entry in overseas voting record; 10 applications for recapture of biometrics; 111 applications for renewal of membership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and 302 applications for updating of Pag-IBIG contributions.

The consular outreach was successfully conducted with the support and cooperation of Mrs. Shemaine A. Bushnell-Kyriakides, Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Cyprus, the Filipino community in Cyprus, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), OWWA) and the Pag-IBIG representative office in Athens, Greece.
