SHREVEPORT, LA - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a consular outreach at the Christ United Methodist Church, Shreverport on January 28.

One hundred fifty-eight Filipinos availed of the consular services and over 99 registered to vote for the 2019 National Elections.

The consular outreach was co-organized by the Fil-American Association of the ArkLaTex (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas), headed by its president, Mrs. Loreta Leavitt.

Louisiana is one of the 16 states within the Consulate General's jurisdiction. It is home to around 14,000 Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, many of whom are professionals and whose relatives work at the nearby Barksdale US Air Force Base. END
