SAN FRANCISCO - To kick off the calendar year of the League of the San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC), Consul General Henry S. Bensurto, Jr, and his wife Mariza Bensurto, recently hosted a get-together at the Official Residence with members of the League and their diplomatic spouses.
The League of the San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC) is a non-profit, apolitical, non-partisan organization founded in 1989. It was formerly called the Ladies of the San Francisco Consular Corps, it was re-named League of San Francisco Consular Corps in 2012. The organization is composed of spouses and partners of members of the San Francisco Consular Corps, as well as retired diplomats.
Mrs. Bensurto's role as Vice President of the organization was the impetus for the Consulate General's inclination to network and deepen rapport with colleagues in the consular corps and the larger Community. Because of the Philippines' active involvement and support of LSFCC, the organization chose the Pilipino Senior Resource Center as one of the non-profit organizations that it supported in 2016.
Members of the diplomatic corps, including China, India and Singapore, as well as San Mateo Supervisor David Canepa and his wife, Ana del Carmen Valenzuela, who is the Consul General of El Salvador in San Francisco, and (Ret.) Amb. Romeo and Dr. Ennie Arguelles attended the event. END
