NEW YORK - The officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in New York led the public recitation of 1Pangako to commemorate National Autism Consciousness Week during flag-raising ceremony at the Lobby Gallery of the Philippine Center.

The Consulate General's Finance Officer Mr. Thor Indanan delivered a message about autism as a condition affecting about a million Filipinos today and a touching call to action for public servants to understand the struggles of the families who live with autism.

The ceremony is a prelude to the 2017 Fashion Arts Autism Benefit (FAAB) which will take place at the Philippine Center in New York on April 07. It will be organized by the Consulate General in cooperation with the Autism Hearts Foundation with Philippine Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial as guest of honor. END
