Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will make a working visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, from 10 to 12 August 2017. DPM Teo will officiate at the National Day Reception hosted by the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta on 10 August 2017 and attend the Singapore Community Day as the Guest-of-Honour on 12 August 2017. DPM Teo's visit is part of a series of high-level visits by Singapore's leaders to Indonesia to commemorate RISING50, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Singapore.

DPM Teo will call on Indonesian President Joko Widodo, meet Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto and former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. DPM Teo will also meet prominent Indonesian political, social and business leaders during the visit.

DPM Teo will be accompanied by Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Industry & Education Low Yen Ling, Chairperson for Government Parliamentary Committee (Defence and Foreign Affairs) MP Vikram Nair and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
