BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - House Members of the Special Committee on East ASEAN Growth Area (EAGA) capped a one-day technical working visit to Brunei Darussalam on February 04.
The visit aims to deepen the House Committee Members' familiarization on EAGA's impact on the local economy of the focus areas in Brunei. This is believed to guide them in the formulation of their legislative agenda in support of the BIMP-EAGA initiative.
Members of the PHL delegation included Hon. Mercedes "Didi" Cagas, Committee Chairperson and Representative from the Lone District of Davao del Sur; Hon. Gil P. Acosta, Committee Vice Chairperson and Representative from the 3rd District of Palawan; Hon. Glona Labadlabad, Member and Representative from the 2nd District of Zamboanga del Norte; Hon. Orestes T. Salon, Member and Representative from the AGRI Party-List; Hon. Ma. Lucille L. Nava, Member and Representative from the Lone District of Guimaras; Hon. Isagani S. Amatong, Member and Representative from the 3rd District of Zamboanga del Norte; Ms. Jennifer Joan Cruz Estella, Committee Secretary, Special Committee on EAGA, House of Representatives; Mr. Jonathan C. Miral, Division Chief from the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and Delegation Head Technical Focal Person; and Mr. Jimmy K. Musa, Delegation Assistant Technical Focal Person from MinDA. END
