The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will honor its stakeholders who have provided exemplary support to its statistical undertakings, information needs and advocacy programs during the 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP Stakeholders in Region IV. This event, which is part of the BSP's 24th anniversary, will be held on Friday, 4 August 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Paseo Premiere Hotel, Sta. Rosa Business Park, Greenfield City, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. This year's theme, Transforming Shared Visions into Dynamic Partnership, embodies the BSP's continuous collaboration with its stakeholders in gearing the economy toward an inclusive and resilient growth. Monetary Board Member Felipe M. Medalla will lead in honoring this year's awardees and stakeholders.

The BSP will give eleven awards to outstanding partners for the following categories: for the Information Support category�two for the Business Expectations Survey (BES), one for the Cross Border Transactions Survey (CBTS), and two for Sources of Information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments; and for the Advocacy Support category�one for Financial Inclusion, three for the Currency Programs of the BSP and two for implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns. The Gold Hall of Fame Award will be accorded to three outstanding partners who won in the same award category for three consecutive years.

The Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be awarded to the BES respondents selected from the country's top corporations in Region IV that have participated regularly in the survey by providing timely, complete, accurate and consistent responses. The Outstanding Respondent for CBTS was selected from respondents who provided timely, consistent, accurate, and complete information on their international transactions. The Outstanding Partner for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to agencies or institutions that provided the BSP with information support for an effective scan of the environment in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA. The Outstanding Financial Inclusion Champion shall be awarded to the bank that has supported the BSP in the delivery of financial services to the previously unbanked or underbanked sectors of the country through their own market based/innovative initiatives. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Currency Programs will be given to agencies or institutions that supported the BSP's currency programs and advocacies in Regions IV-A and IV-B such as clean note policy and coin recirculation. Lastly, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns will be awarded to agencies or institutions that have supported the BSP's public information campaigns conducted in Region IV.

This occasion is the fifth of the BSP's regional stakeholders' events which will be held from July to September 2017 in 12 areas outside the National Capital Region (AONCR) to honor stakeholders in various award categories. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony held last 11 July 2017 at the BSP Main Complex, Manila.

This event is expected to further strengthen the partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders in information gathering and advocacy campaigns that will help the BSP carry out its mandate of maintaining price stability and promoting a healthy financial system as well as ensuring an effective payments and settlement system in the country.
